Color Island
Leveraging color psychology to bridge the gap with SEN children
By KO Hoi Lam
Background
Promotion on Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Hong Kong is not enough. Some Hong Kong citizens do not know much about the different types of children who need special education. It is hoped that through the method of color psychology, Hong Kong citizens can have a deeper understanding and identification of different types of children with special needs, and that Hong Kong citizens and students with special needs can get along happily.
CONCEPT
The core objective of this design initiative is to harness the power of color psychology in order to foster greater connection and engagement between audience and children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through metaphor and visualization to reimagine the diverse types of SEN into more vivid and narrative illustrations, character design and promotion publication.
