PROJECT BACKGROUND
Designing a vibrant coastal park at Tuen Mun to Chek Lap Kok Link Road presents a unique challenge with limited opportunities but immense development potentials. The goal is to improve transportation facilities, provide barrier-free access and bicycle lanes, increase lighting facilities, beautify and protect the natural environment of the site, and create a living park for active sports and leisure.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Inspired by the spiral seashell, this design creates a unique and inclusive space with varying future planting densities to avoid affecting an underground sea tunnel. Ecological forest streams promote sustainable development, community connections, and diverse activities. The design features a pedestrian bridge, a sunset lounge, and natural grass to enhance the beauty of wind-resistant facilities.
