PROJECT BACKGROUND
In Japan, the culture of inheritance is closely tied to the tradition of the kimono Kimonos are often passed down through generations as family heirlooms, and may also be inherited as a part of a traditional ceremonial dress or special occasion attire. The practice serves to preserve the culture significance and historical value of these clothing items. Through clothing, we hope to educate young people about the stories and traditions behind the kimono.
