Background
Loki is a very famous god in Norse mythology. He is an immensely complex character . As a member of the Aesir race, he is widely recognized for his intelligence, shape-shifting abilities, and cunning nature. Being born to giants, his father was the giant Farbauti and his mother was the giantess Laufey. Due to his giant ancestry, Loki has always been regarded as an outsider among the Aesir and was often the object of teasing by the other gods.
CONCEPT
Loki often transforms into various forms, including animal and human forms. His ability to shape-shift empowers him to adopt different guises to suit various circumstances and manipulate them to his advantage. In my design, prior to the transformation, Loki took on the appearance of Pokk, an elderly woman. As Loki embodies the essence of evil, I aimed to evoke a sense of fear by imbuing the design with an eerie aura. When the design is opened, the true form of Loki is revealed, which incorporates elements such as fish, flies, horses. Furthermore, to symbolize Loki's affinity for playing with fire, I added vibrant green flames engulfing his body.
