Background
The Emerging Design Talents Show (EDT) 2024 will showcase a stunning collaboration between students of Visual Communication and Costume Design. Their joint effort resulted in a captivating costume stage performance enriched by on-screen motion graphics. The ultimate goal was to create a visually impressive stage backdrop that perfectly aligned with the theme of Nordic Mythology – Dwarf. The audience would be instantly immersed in a captivating and otherworldly realm inhabited by enchanting Dwarves, fully engaging in this boundary-breaking experience.
CONCEPT
This project will showcase the fusion of Nordic mythology and contemporary design, creating a captivating "Transform" effect. The stage background will depict the evolution of Dwarves, from their origin as worms to the enhanced forest where they reside. The enhanced forest will be portrayed with vibrant and oversized plants and mushrooms, creating a world as seen through the eyes of the Dwarves.
