In an era of accelerated urbanization and increasingly severe environmental problem issues, online shopping has become an indispensable part of modern city life.

Based on the theme of “Modern City”, I created a set of performance costumes with featuring express packaging as the main presentation effect, in order to prompting people to think about reflect on the express packaging problems caused by online shopping.

So through this phenomenon, I hope that the design concept of the costumes can show that online shopping will generates excessive packaging materials, even for small items like a pen, which are often over-packaged. Given the lack of recycling options in Hong Kong, the programme aims to promote the reuse of packaging materials and raise awareness of the environmental impact of modern urban consumption habits.
