创作背景
Inspired by the theme of "progress," this work explores the evolution from image to text. The Chinese characters used today have transformed over centuries, originating from ancient hieroglyphics. Through visual transmutation, the designer employs the tactile flow of ink to examine the variations shaped by force and time in each moment.
The works serve as a reminder of cultural legacy, using animation to trace Chinese characters backward—from their contemporary forms to their ancient pictographic origins. In the digital age, where people constantly interact with text through social media and electronic devices, there is a risk of losing touch with the profound cultural significance embedded in these characters. Amid the rise of artificial intelligence and rapidly advancing technologies, this living heritage demands preservation. The work seeks to reignite an appreciation for linguistic roots, urging a reconnection with the cultural wisdom carried within each character.
