Share Joys with Pets in this Paw-fect Land
Background
The number of pets kept in Hong Kong continues to rise, especially dogs, and people's demand for pet facilities is also increasing. However, most pet parks currently only provide basic facilities and cannot meet the diverse needs of owners and pets. By observing and analyzing the needs of Sai Wan Ho residents for pet facilities, the idea of transforming the old pet park under the expressway in the district came up. This project aims to redesign a functional and beautiful pet park that meets the diverse needs of users and promotes a closer connection between people and pets.
CONCEPT
The design vision of "PETopia" is to promote the connection between people and pets. The design concept is inspired by the characteristics of string, which is often used to connect different independent objects, symbolize the connection between people and pets. The park mainly uses curvilinear elements to imitate the curved form of a string. In addition, "PETopia" also promotes interaction and communication through various facilities and activities.
