Refining mascot design to enhance practicality for future applications
Background
The School Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China plans to refine its mascot design to better resonate with students and promote its school spirit. With the collaboration of students, designers, and stakeholders, this project aims to enhance the future applications of the mascot and the practicality for its related souvenirs, ensuring a visually appealing and versatile representation of the mascot.
CONCEPT
The redesigned mascot retains the original red headscarf, wings, and blue colour. The concept focuses on an elf and ranger theme by replacing wings with ears and giving the mascot a light blue skin tone. The head pattern is replaced by a scarf, without hindering movement, making it closer to the image of a ranger. The facial features are modified for cuteness, while the body proportions are adjusted to enhance flexibility during sports movements.
