Background
My design incorporates the inheritance and fusion of traditional Chinese craftsmanship with modern elements. I utilize crafts such as intricate button knot embroidery, Chinese knots, and bamboo weaving, blending innovative deconstructive styles with traditional craftsmanship to create a new form of art. In this manner, traditional crafts, enriched with modern elements, become even more captivating for contemporary audiences.
CONCEPT
My design concept involves using elements of traditional Chinese crafts such as bamboo weaving and Chinese knots, in combination with Western deconstructionism. The emphasis lies on the reconstruction of traditional elements to break boundaries and achieve an innovative style. By merging traditional deconstruction with contemporary aesthetics, a unique artistic language emerges, challenging old frameworks and leading the audience into a new realm where tradition and modernity blend.
