Background
The Retro Rock Music Branding project was initiated in collaboration with HKDI to promote the HKDI Music Label and evoke the emotional impact of music. The project aimed to develop a visually captivating brand identity encompassing a logo and various promotional activities that would deeply resonate with music enthusiasts. Through research, it was discovered that vintage rock music possesses a timeless appeal and that establishing an emotional and artistic connection with the audience.
CONCEPT
The design concept centers around the utilization of silhouette art and Roman-style cartoons to cultivate a retro and playful aesthetic. By simplifying shapes and accentuating silhouettes, the design encapsulates the spirit of retro rock music. The primary target audience for this concept is music enthusiasts, and the visual approach aims to evoke nostalgia while incorporating bold contrasts and limitless expression. The project's deliverables encompass a logo, promotional materials, and a range of design projects that explore diverse styles to captivate and inspire the target audience. The intention is to create a cohesive visual identity that resonates with retro rock music lovers, fostering a sense of connection and excitement through the expressive and engaging design elements.
