Background
The artistic styles of Ukiyo-e and Baroque depict the life, culture, and emotions of the time with an emphasis on luxury and decoration. The two styles are mixed to present the modern people in an elegant and gorgeous manner with the emotion of laziness and enjoyment of life.
CONCEPT
The serrated wavy leaves of the acanthus in Baroque art can easily remind people of the vitality and a positive attitude towards life. The unfettered and colorful lines symbolize vividness, as seen in "The Great Wave off Kanagawa," where rich colors are used to enhance the painting’s vibrancy.
