Ecology
Background
"Ecology" is essential for human life. Nature provides us with water, clean air, food, and raw materials for medicines, industry, and buildings. I chose this topic because the ecological environment is always present around us, yet it is a subject that many people ignore. This topic is very suitable for my final year project, as ecology encompasses many elements like trees, animals, the sky, and water, among others.
CONCEPT
Chiffon fabric is used to create the shape of growing flowers. The front chest features wavy jacquard cloth as the main base fabric. Then, 3D flower chiffon is used to craft flowers in full bloom, layer by layer. The lower body uses dyed denim to achieve a gradient effect. Finally, printed mesh is incorporated to give the entire piece a more cohesive look.
