ARMOR & Dawn Of Apocalypse

Armor is not defined by inherent thought. The wisdom of facing death

Background

All my inspirational backgrounds come from Egyptian mythology and Mongol warring clans, utilizing the styling of both specifications to create a new look by blending the styling of armor from the ages. Through my research, I have come to understand that these styles symbolize fame and status. While they can be condescending or ordinary, I believe that everyone should be able to wear their own armor without being defined by their appearance. Through exploring the concept of death and merging the mysterious high-tech civilization in ancient Egypt with the powerful fighting spirit of Mongolia, we have ultimately created a new character, the " Doomsday Warrior." The character aims to portray life as a process of embracing death. We hope to inspire the audience to have a correct understanding of death and approaching life with a higher and better perspective.

CONCEPT

My design concept is to create a set of armor that can be worn on stage, changing the notion that armor is solely functional and demonstrating that it can also be fashionable. The main audience is people who want to perform on stage and wear this suit to show their charisma. The focus is the ancient Egyptian symbol “Eye of Horus”, representing well-being, healing and protection, to incorporate the fluffy texture and climate elements of Mongolia. Inside the three-dimensional pyramid- shaped crown, light of changing colors will scatter through the hand- carved lines which represent different stages of life. Feathers were used to balance the shape of the hairstyle and highlight the model's features. The overall artwork expresses a serene atmosphere, symbolizing wisdom, courage, death and rebirth.
