PROJECT BACKGROUND
Void(0)_souldata is an interdisciplinary media art and music project that seeks to explore the relationship between digital technology, I-Ching, Taoism, and Python computer programming language. Founded by artist and musician Sinead Kwok, the project aims to create music, visuals, and interactive experiences that draw on the ancient principles of I-Ching and Taoism to explore the implications of our ever-evolving digital world. Using a blend of analog and digital instruments and media, Kwok creates audio-visual works that merge cutting-edge technological tools (i.e. Touchdesigner) with ancient knowledge systems to generate immersive, reflective experiences.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The project explores the concept of "zero", or nothingness, as a source of creative energy. Through the creation of visual and sonic art, the project seeks to express the uncertainty of existence, the transient nature of life, and the ultimately unknowable nature of reality. The project also serves to explore the potentialities of merging these philosophies together as a form of creative expression .The idea of "zero" can be found in many religious, philosophical, and scientific systems.
