PROJECT BACKGROUND
The idea of the costume is based on chapter VII, "A Mad Tea Party" of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". The story includes the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse, the March Hare, and Alice. They are sitting together around a large square table to enjoy their teatime.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The imagination is about Alice getting swallowed by the swirl of the tree hole and having a great teatime with the Mad-Hatter, Dormouse and March Hare. The main eye-catching point is the mermaid dress with different coloured layers, which looks like tea spilt from a mushroom cup. The costume also incorporates numerous dessert-inspired elements as embellishments, including the padded hat on the top, and the strawberry sponge cake.
