PROJECT BACKGROUND
Weathering is often seen in architecture, whether it is rusting or wall cracking. In this project, root is the subject being tested to infuse with architecture to build an observatory.
PROJECT CONCEPT
As trees accidentally growing in Tong Lau, their roots may be destroying the building structure. By introducing a grid system and having cracks on the façade, it is expected to share the loading of the root force and create a new façade with the roots.
