PROJECT BACKGROUND

Hong Kong is known for its rigid urban landscape and standardized lifestyle. Here the urban landscape is dominated by high-rise buildings built in a standardized block-like form. The educational system is also heavily focused on rote learning, leaving little room for creativity and imagination. This rigid way of life often leaves people feeling uninspired and lacking innovation, often stifling imagination and creativity.
This project explores how transparency can be better expressed in space and promote creative freedom.
