PROJECT BACKGROUND

Women are born in a patriarchate society. There are many rules which influence what they can wear. For reference, the womenswear suit usually adds padding on the shoulder to enhance masculinity for females. In my opinion, the female image should couple strength and gentleness rather than be used to powerfully portray their image from a superficial perspective. This collection is aimed to dismantle the feminism born in the patriarchate, forming a new image of feminism and womenswear. This design enables it to exist without the characteristics of menswear silhouettes or detail, remodeling women's outlines and creating a brand-new ‘female-only’ identity.
