BODY MARKS

"What is the definition of beauty?"

PROJECT BACKGROUND

As for the culture, humanistic civilization, and enigmatic surrealism of African tribal communities can be shown.

"I incorporated African tribal culture into my design to create a surrealistic aesthetic. I was inspired by the idea that, in some cultures, scars on the body are considered beautiful, whereas in others, flawless skin is the ideal. The finished product is a full outfit made from leather and chains."

PROJECT CONCEPT

My design concept is to incorporate traditional elements in a contemporary way. Drawing inspiration from the unique patterns and vibrant color of African textiles, I aim to create a piece that celebrates the rich history and cultural heritage of the African tribes.

In addition to texture and color, I am also inspired by the symbolism inherent in African tribal art. From intricate beadwork to intricate geometric patterns, I strive to incorporate traditional African motifs into my design, while giving them a modern twist. Through this approach, I hope to create a garment that pays homage to the timeless beauty and cultural richness of African tribal culture.
