PROJECT BACKGROUND

The lyrical theme of this album is about chasing dream. Sonically, I was wondering what if I was born 20 years earlier? So, in this project I decided to combine past music style with modern music production. In this album, I made a dream pop and a synth pop/dance pop, both genres were popular in the 70s-90s.
Better Day is a dance pop and synth pop influenced song, taking arrangement reference from early EDM songs. I used a lot of synthesizer sound on the tracks, the bass is arpeggiated and carries the rhythm, andI added layers of classic synthesizer sounds in the chorus.
