Play Culture
We sometimes neglect 'Play' as a kind of culture by treating it as only happening in childhood. However, it is something deeply embedded in our souls. This project explores the importance of knowing, rescuing, maintaining, and developing the play culture. It showcases students' creative works in revitalizing old games with new play ideas crossing different generations for serving different scenarios. Eighteen students from the Department of Communication Design, including programs of HD in Advertising Design, HD in Illustration, HD in Visual Arts and Culture, and HD in Visual Communication, collaborated to work on this project.
Four sets of games including (1) a Sportscard game (Sports Battle GOGOGO), (2) a Community-based board game (Treasure Hunt at Kowloon City ), (3) a Scientific ball game (Bumper Big), and (4) a game for in-flight entertainment (Little Chef) will be showcased.
