Metaverse is a virtual platform that enables users to embody virtual reality, game, commerce, promotion, exhibition, learning and social immersive experiences. It is an imaginative and creative means for storytelling and social interactions. This project explore the possibilities of digital experience and coping strategies for learning through play. The outcome is a series of digital interactive experiences in Metaverse with the content of community engagement activities, a virtual exhibition, a themed virtual fashion show, an online and offline design work showcase, etc. MetaDI: Play to Learn is a pilot project to design and develop the contents and interactive experiences for the virtual HKDI campus in the Metaverse, Meta DI. The contents will be introduced in an interactive way, including information on HKDI Knowledge Centres as well as students’ design work.
