PROJECT BACKGROUND
This piece of work is about a girl having fun at a party held by the nobility. Her youthfulness and vitality have added sweetness to the occasion. At the same time, she retains a gracious macaron-like posture.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Aristocrats who lived a luxurious lifestyle in the Rococo period loved to indulge themselves in parties. To recreate such luxury in this dress, I used a lot of pearls and lace, which were popular accessories during the Rococo period. The most prominent part of the entire look is the tall and exaggerated hairstyle replicated from the Rococo period, adorned by the contemporary women with lots of accessories. The dress reveals the unknown dark side behind the nobility and luxury.
