PROJECT BACKGROUND
In the past, many people thought that fashion / jewellery were luxury industries that produce a lot of wastes. As people’s environmental awareness has risen in the recent years, many major brands have launched various environmental protection series that hope to create an environmentally friendly image. By expressing the severity of environmental pollution in my jewellery design, I want to raise people's awareness of the crisis of global warming.
PROJECT CONCEPT
I used “Migratory Bird“ and “Migratory Bird Route Map“ as the theme. The combination of Migratory Bird and Migratory Bird route map brings out the problems of global warming. In addition, “Migratory Bird stained with carbon dioxide“ uses the colour from black to white express the pollution and how it has affected the migratory birds. Through the metalwork process, I will express the severity of environmental pollution and reflect the idea through jewellery items that I designed.
