PROJECT BACKGROUND
By making reference to the French-style military uniforms of the late 17th century and my understanding of Don José, the lily pattern, long swords and daggers were added to the original clothing.
PROJECT CONCEPT
While the red surface expresses the character’s love for Carmen, the black lining represents his achievements and possessiveness towards Carmen. Because of his character, I turned some of the decorations into snake shapes.
