HD in Stage and Set Design
The globalisation of various performing arts industries such as stage performances, film, entertainment arts and interdisciplinary art projects, and media technology, alongside expansion of cable and network TV channels and the augmentation of global performing arts projects, has led to an ever-increasing demand for creative professionals in media and entertainment. This programme outlines the macroscopic view of performing arts, drama, stage, film, and TV production through the aspiring vision of future scenographers, stage designers, technical arts designers, and art directors. Apart from introducing the concepts on the essentials of aesthetics and design methods, the programme also strengthens the students’ creative thinking, technique, ability, and vision by integrating diverse learning experience with a hands-on curriculum. Designed with an emphasis on generic, language and communication training, whole-person development and workplace experience, this programme aims at better preparing students for further studies and employment after graduation.
