By redefining furniture to enhance both internal and external communication, the project team aims to seek alternative human-centred solutions to three identified problems concerning home space in Hong Kong. Since it is well-known that a lack of communication can easily alienate family members or flatmates sharing the same apartment, we have identified three typical scenarios for investigation, namely intergenerational families, home-office/schooling families, and co-living groups.
