PROJECT BACKGROUND

After being inspired by the unspoken rules in our daily lives to create the theme of Restriction, I then did some research and discovered a lot of art pieces that related to this theme. Finally, I took reference from tying objects and tension to design my collection. My theme is Restriction, and my concept is to advocate fighting against the unreasonable rules in our lives. I want the audience to feel the pressure given by these unspoken rules every day. Therefore, tying and crowded embroidery are used to emphasize this feeling. Through the design, I hope the audience can sense the oppression from these unreasonable rules.
