Alice in wonderland
PROJECT BACKGROUND
My theme in this final year project is Alice in the Wonderland, a story about fantasy. To me, Alice is a brave girl, and the plot of the story is very mysterious. The inspiration was not from the animated version, but from the live-action version of Alice in the Wonderland shot by Disney in recent years. While the colors of bright red, blue, yellow, orange, purple, and black used in the story scenes were bold and dark, the outfit of Alice in the live-action version gave a completely different feeling. Alice's style in the animation was also cuter. For instance, Alice was dressed in pink in the animation but was in brighter colors in the live-action movie. Besides Alice, The Red Queen and the Mad Hatter also gave me profound impressions.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Combining different factors, some elements in the movie, such as the poker and characters, will be added to the design. In terms of contours, it is more multi-layered and three-dimensional in order to present different feelings in the story. For example, different characters in the picture frame were represented by different space and time, while some patterns can be used to represent the corners in certain stories. In terms of colors, I mainly used black, blue and yellow. Red is added as an embellishment to make the pattern more three-dimensional and stylish.
