PROJECT BACKGROUND

Traditional culture, like a fallen whale, enables innovative ideas to flourish. My project used Japanese Boro and camouflage patchwork together with kombucha vegan leather as the key elements. The fermented mushrooms in kombucha are dyed with natural blue to produce a biodegradable material incorporated with the techniques of traditional blue dyeing and printing techniques.
