This degree is designed to give students a specialist education in jewellery and metalwork design and creative practice. Students will gain hands-on interaction with materials and processes, preparing them for employment in the creative industry. This programme will help develop students' own creative practice through working in a supportive specialist studio learning environment. They will learn to identify and solve problems in jewellery and metalwork and other design industries.
The programme has a strong vocational focus which encourages innovation and creativity. Students will be able to learn through exploring and experimenting with ideas and materials, and to develop their own personal line of enquiry through critical reflection.
