PROJECT BACKGROUND

XTEP specialises in design, development, manufacturing and marketing of sportswear, including footwear, apparel and accessory products, with an extensive distribution network of over 6,300 stores across the globe. In 2020, HKDI collaborated with XTEP on sneaker design and production, selected student work would be produced by Xtep and exhibited at HKDI graduation show and other fashion events in Hong Kong.

The visit to XTEP headquarters in Xiamen provided an invaluable opportunity for Fashion Design and Fashion Design Menswear students to enrich their technical knowledge through visit to XTEP technical laboratory, to explore new design concepts by having a design exchange seminar with the XTEP design team and to recognise the current landscape of sportswear market in Mainland China.
