PROJECT BACKGROUND

HKDI launches an interdisciplinary Design for Wellbeing innovation project for the Society for the Aid and Rehabilitation of Drug Abuses (SARDA) that offers rehabilitation support and treatment to drug abusers. Thi 6 month project by students and teachers of Communication Design, Digital Media, and Applied Science generated design solutions for SARDA, empowered their staff to design user-centred rehabilitation programmes for drug abusers and promote well-being design to the public. This also allows students to practise design thinking and communication skills in a real-case scenario by working with social workers and former drug-abusers. HKDI Design Thinking team offered training workshops and consultation sessions to SARDA on brand rejuvenation and staff development.
