PROJECT BACKGROUND

To energise the city with art and design, HKDI and MTR Corporation co-launched the exhibition project “TKL_WE_IMAGINED”. 6 groups of HKDI's students researched on and reinterpreted history, cultural characteristics and background of Tiu Keng Leng, and came up with a wide array of designs including furniture, illustration, characters, environmental arts, advertising campaign and interior installation. This collaboration provided a valuable opportunity for students to experience working with a large corporation, from project brief, pitching and presentations, to project modification in response to a professional client’s comments and finalising the output. This project was exhibited in MTR Central Station from January to February 2020 and on HKDI campus from March to April 2020.
