Birmingham City University BA (Hons) Fine Art provides a specialist education through stimulating and structured programme, enabling the opportunity to acquire creative expertise, articulate ideas and extend, develop and apply intellectual, technical, practical and communication skills to a professional standard; It enables the exploration and effective application of a wide range of creative, practical, technical and research skills, including flexible approaches to learning and practising and the capacity to be independent; and it provides an education whereby contemporary fine art is understood within local and international contexts, providing learners with the ability to respond to the broad range of historical, social, cultural and global factors that have influenced and determined the production and reception of artwork.
