Have a call
PROJECT BACKGROUND
I eagerly dial your number, the repeated ringing making me anxious and nervous until I hear your voice.
As technology becomes more and more advanced, other forms of communication have gradually made redundant the need for landline phones. However, the unique way in which a landline phone is operated, and the emotions and sensations that are felt from answering or dialing a phone, cannot be replicated. It is hoped that it is possible through a jewellery collection to evoke wearers' memories and to form unique experiences of communicating with "him/her" through landline phones.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Through the behavior of people unconsciously wrapping the telephone cord while communicating on landline phones, as well as the two main functional buttons and telephone cord being the primary design elements in landline phones, the "Have a call" series incorporates actual landline telephone button parts as well as an actual landline telephone cord to resonate and form a connection. This series is divided into four stages: 1. The hand posture of lifting the phone. 2. The action of pressing the button. 3. The repeated ringing. 4. Hearing the other person's voice. The four stages are used to connect the entire "Have a call" story.
